Walker Jenkins, the best Minnesota Twins prospect in years, is no stranger to making great plays on the field.

On Tuesday, he finished just a home run shy of hitting for the cycle for the St. Paul Saints, but his best play came before first pitch when he helped a fainting child.

During the national anthem, a boy standing near Jenkins staggered and started to faint. Jenkins jumped into action, picking him up and rushing him to the dugout to get medical attention.

The St. Paul Saints say the boy, Lincoln, had been out in the sun all day and was dehydrated. After Jenkins helped him, the team’s athletic trainer got him cooled down and hydrated, and medics on site also checked him out.

Thankfully, the boy was OK. Unfortunately, medics recommended he not go back outside, so Lincoln didn’t get to see Jenkins’ great game and a 12-6 Saints win, but he did get a Walker Jenkins t-shirt before leaving CHS Field.

Meanwhile, Jenkins may have gained a few more fans.
