Sixteen players from the 2024 team are currently on professional rosters, headlined by Moore, who until June 26 was the only player on the list in MLB. He was called back up to the major leagues on June 18 after starting the season in Triple-A but was sent back down after five games.
None of the minor leaguers are ranked as top-100 MLB prospects, but four are among the top 10 prospects in their organizations: Beam (Royals), Dreiling (Rangers), Phillips (Red Sox) and Russell (Rangers), who is the team’s No. 3 prospect.
Backus and Sechrist are playing in the independent Frontier League.
Players who finished their college careers in 2026
Seven players from the national championship team spent 2026 as seniors or graduate students. Chapman was the only senior on the 2026 roster that played their entire career with the Vols.
Two other position players that started at least 10 games for the Vols in 2024 finished their college career in 2026. Villenueve hit .341 as Texas Tech’s first baseman and Bargo was NC State’s usual designated hitter, named to the Auburn Regional All-Regional Team.
Behnke, who made 23 relief appearances in 2024, transferred to Georgia but missed his senior season in 2026 with an arm injury.
