STURGIS, S.D. (KOTA) – A local fireworks stand is giving Sturgis-area shoppers a way to celebrate the Fourth of July while supporting local youth sports. The Bellino fireworks tent, set up in the parking lot of Lynn’s Dakotamart, is raising money for the Sturgis High School baseball team.
The fundraiser is now in its second year, and organizers say they’re seeing familiar faces return. Proceeds from sales will go toward expenses that add up quickly during the season. Staffing the fireworks tent is also a team sport as players volunteer with their parents by helping customers at the register and keeping inventory stocked.
