The Pittsburgh Pirates recalled right-handed pitcher Hunter Stratton from Triple-A Indianapolis on Saturday after placing reliever Evan Sisk on the 15-day injured list with elbow inflammation.
The Sullivan East High School graduate has not appeared in a game for the Pirates since being re-acquired in the June 18 trade that sent catcher Joey Bart to the Atlanta Braves.
Stratton, 29, is 3-2 with a 3.75 ERA and two saves in 60 career appearances with the Pirates (2023-25) and Braves (2025-26). He made one appearance for Atlanta this season, allowing one hit in one scoreless inning in a 9-1 win at Colorado on May 2.
Stratton did not allow a run in 5 1/3 innings over four outings for Indianapolis. He struck out Omaha’s Gavin Cross (Tennessee High) in a game on Tuesday.Â
