CHEYENNE – A four-run seventh inning helped Ironworks Baseball Club of Erie, Colorado, rally for a 4-1 victory over the Laramie Rangers on Saturday afternoon at the Mark Robért Classic in Cheyenne.
The Rangers grabbed a 1-0 lead after loading the bases with one out in the fifth inning. Jaxon Gosar was retired at home when TR Richardson grounded into a fielder’s choice. Jackson Bailey scored on a wild pitch four pitches later.
Three errors, a walk and a single helped Ironworks score four runs in the top of the seventh.
Bailey, Gosar, Cayden Hardesty, Larsen Wesnitzer and Maddox Dorrell all had hits for the Rangers. Wesnitzer’s knock was a triple.
Trace Looney took the loss on the mound, giving up four hits across six innings of work. Only one of the four runs Looney allowed was earned.
