Four baseball teams and two softball teams from the Inland area have accepted invitations to compete in the CIF State regional playoffs.
San Dimas, the CIF Southern Section’s Division 3 baseball runner-up, is the No. 7-seeded team in the Division II regional bracket. The Saints (19-11) head to Santa Maria St. Joseph (24-7) for a first-round game Wednesday at 4 p.m. St. Joseph was the Central Section’s Division 1 runner-up.
Elsinore, the CIF Southern Section’s Division 5 baseball champion, received the No. 7 seed for the Division III regional playoffs. The Tigers (23-7) travel to San Diego Mt. Carmel (21-12) for a first-round game Tuesday at 4 p.m. Mt. Carmel was the San Diego Section’s Division 2 champion.
Notre Dame, the CIF Southern Section’s Division 7 baseball runner-up, is seeded No. 7 in the Division IV regional bracket. The Titans (21-10) will make a trip to Bakersfield Ridgeview (21-11) for a first-round game Tuesday at 4 p.m. Ridgeview was the Central Section’s Division 2 champion.
Nuview Bridge, the CIF Southern Section’s Division 9 champion, received the No. 4 seed for the Division V regional playoffs. The Knights (18-10) take on Port of Los Angeles (15-8) in a first-round game Tuesday at 4 p.m. at Mystic Field in Nuevo. POLA was the LA City Section’s Division 2 champion.

Ayala, which reached the semifinals of the CIF Southern Section’s Division 1 softball playoffs, is the No. 4 seed for the Division 1 regional playoffs. The Bulldogs (22-3) host Poway (23-8) in a first-round game Tuesday at 4 p.m. Poway qualified for the San Diego Section’s Open Division playoffs.
Elsinore, which reached the second round of the CIF Southern Section Division 4 softball playoffs, is seeded No. 7 in the Division III regional playoffs. The Tigers (13-7) travel to South Gate Legacy (24-7) for a first-round game Tuesday at 4 p.m. Legacy was the City Section’s Division 1 champion.
A handful of Inland teams qualified but opted out of competing in the regional playoffs. Those teams were Norco softball (Division 1 champion), Temescal Canyon softball (Division 1 semifinalist), Corona baseball (Division 1 semifinalist), Great Oak softball (Division 2 semifinalist), and Ganesha baseball (Division 4 champion).
