The Oregon baseball team closed the regular season with a 6-4 nonconference win over McFarland on Friday, May 30, at Zach Field.

The Panthers (13-12) were coming off a 12-0 five-inning nonconference loss to Edgewood on Thursday, May 29, at Zach Field. The Panthers received a ninth seed in the WIAA Division 1 Oregon sectional and will play at eighth-seeded Westosha Central in a regional semifinal on Tuesday, June 3.

Oregon 6, McFarland 4

Senior Ryan Dins had three hits and drove in a run to propel the Panthers over the Spartans.

Both Oregon’s Carson Gehrke and Danny Neis went 2-for-4 with one RBI and a run scored. Senior Peyton Soule started on the mound and gave up two earned runs on four hits. He struck out two and walked one. Dins tossed four shutout innings in relief and struck out one.

Edgewood 12, Oregon 0

The Crusaders limited the Panthers to three hits. Oregon’s Elliot Mueller, Soule and Cole Davenport each had singles.
