CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) – Parker Messick, Cade Smith and Travis Bazzana represented the Guardians on the big stage during the 2026 MLB All-Star Game in Philadelphia.
LHP Parker Messick started the second inning for the American All-Star team, and proved why he belongs.
In his lone inning the rookie retired three-straight, giving up no runs, no hits and one strikeout.
Guardians’ closer Cade Smith also had a perfect three up, three down inning. Smith struck out Corbin Carroll and Bryce Harper in the American All-Star team’s 4-0 win over the National All-Star team.
Smith leads the league in saves with 28 so far this season.
Guardians’ second baseman also appeared in his first All-Star Game. Bazzana went 0-2 at the plate with one strikeout.
