(Cleveland, OH) — The Minnesota Twins have dropped three straight games after a 13-4 loss at Cleveland. The setback opened a four-game series against the division rival Guardians, who roughed up Minnesota All-Star pitcher Joe Ryan. The right-hander allowed eight runs on ten hits in four innings of work. He gave up three runs in each of the first two innings. In all, Ryan gave up six homers in four innings, and Cleveland clubbed seven home runs in total in the contest. After getting back to .500 after Friday’s win over the Chicago Cubs, the Twins have been outscored 29-7 in the three-game skid. Third-place Minnesota drops to 49-52 on the season and is now five games behind first-place Chicago in the A-L Central. The Twins are three games out of the final A-L Wild Card position. Game two of the four-game series in Ohio is tonight at 5:40 P-M.
