OAKLAND, Calif. — After becoming the Wyoming Senior League Baseball state champions, the Rawlins All-Stars represented the Cowboy State in California during the West Region Tournament.
Rawlins fought through two games and dropped a pair of 11-1 decisions, first to Oregon and then to Hawaii.
The team had two hits in the game against Oregon courtesy of Wyatt Braig and Jorge Ferrales. None of the Wyoming batters were credited with an RBI, but Trace Hopkins scored the only run.
Braig, James Fletcher and Jayden Arce each had a turn on the mound and collected at least one out. The group combined for six innings, nine hits, four earned runs, eight walks and three strikeouts. Six defensive errors made for eight unearned runs for Oregon.
Collin Craig came through with the only Wyoming hit in game two while Ian Westby scored the only run. This time, the defense only committed four errors, but it still resulted in eight unearned runs for Hawaii.
Outside of the defensive troubles, Fletcher and Arce showed pinpoint accuracy on the mound. Though they allowed 14 hits in the five-inning game, they did not issue a walk and collected 10 strikeouts together.
With the close of the tournament, the 2026 season is now over for the Rawlins Senior Baseball League.
