The Braves entered the weekend vs the Red Sox with a positive to build on after beating Zach Wheeler and the rival Phillies last Thursday. However, once again, the Braves failed to make the most of momentum. On Sunday the Braves lost 3-1, as Garrett Crochet took care of business once again versus Atlanta. The Braves are now four games under .500.
The simple truth is that the time is now for Atlanta. This month is full of matchups against other NL playoff hopefuls, included the D-backs, Giants, and Brewers over the next three series. If you find a groove and win some series in a row, you are right in the middle of the playoff chase. But if the Braves continue to falter, some interesting conversations will get even louder as we get closer to July.
