One of the biggest pieces of the portal puzzle for the Diamond Dawgs is corner infielder Josiah Overbeek. The former Army product blasted 17 home runs and drove in 44 runs during his freshman campaign. Now, he plans to take that power to Dudy Noble Field and the Southeastern Conference.
While working through the Cape Cod League summer sessions, Overbeek is counting down the days until he reports for Diamond Dawg duty. Over the course of his time in the Cape, Overbeek has been able to relax and play loose. It has been more about having fun and fine tuning things.
