ALTOONA, Pa. – Chesapeake scored twice in the top of the ninth inning to earn a 9-8 win over the Altoon aCurve in front of 7,375 fans Saturday night at Peoples Natural Gas Field.
Altoona banged out a season-high 17 knocks in the defeat, led by multi-hit efforts from Will Taylor, Lonnie White Jr., Callan Moss, Titus Dumitru, Javier Rivas and Matt King. White’s go-ahead RBI triple in the eighth inning broke a 7-all tie. However, the Baysox scored twice on an RBI groundout and a sacrifice fly in the top of the ninth.
