“Cole is a hard-working, quiet and very humble young man,” Clay Center High School head coach Andy Bent told Gatorade. “Cole is ‘there’ to play baseball and help his team win. I’ve known he was going to do big things in the sport since he was in third grade.”
Pladson joins St. Thomas Aquinas alum Riley Pint and Holcomb’s Conner VanCleave as the only two-time winners in the state of Kansas.
Off the field, Pladson maintained a 4.0 GPA and was heavily involved with extracurriculars at his school and in his church.
He is committed to play baseball at Oklahoma State University this fall.
