Ruggiero is a 6-foot-2 left handed relief pitcher from Royersford, PA, where he attended Spring-Ford Area High School. He’ll be a sophomore in his first year at Penn State.
In his first collegiate season at Richmond University Ruggerio posted a 3.76 ERA in 26.1 innings of work, and ended his season with 28 strikeouts and 15 walks.
Ruggiero will add more proven collegiate experience to Penn State’s bullpen for 2027 and beyond.
