San Francisco Giants announcer Mike Krukow announced in a statement that he will retire at the end of this season.
Duane Kuiper, Krukow’s co-commentator of 36 years, will remain in the broadcast booth. The departure has left Giants fans wondering who should replace Krukow.
Kuiper’s future partner or partners is likely to come from the bunch that the team has had filling in often the past several years, including Hunter Pence, F.P. Santangelo, Shawn Estes and Javier Lopez.
NBC Sports broadcaster Dave Flemming has also emerged as a popular choice among fans online.
