Los Angeles Dodgers first baseman Freddie Freeman fell into the opposing dugout in the top of the eighth inning of Wednesday night’s game against the Kansas City Royals in a scary scene at UNIQLO Field at Dodger Stadium.

Freeman was trying to catch a foul ball on the first base side, and it kept carrying as it was coming down.

The ball ended up in the dugout, and Freeman fell over the steps and directly onto the dugout floor.

Freeman was down for a few moments but was able to get back up and walk back to first base, remaining in the game on defense. Miguel Rojas ran into the dugout to help him, as did multiple people from the Royals side.

Freeman’s spot was due up first in the lineup in the bottom of the eighth inning. He was pinch-hit for, with Tommy Edman coming in.

After the top of the eighth inning, Freeman went into the dugout and directly down to the clubhouse.
