The New York Mets will host their first Singles Night Out on Aug. 27 when they play the Milwaukee Brewers at 7:10 p.m. Fans can watch baseball, attend mixers before the game, wear wristbands that show their status, and try conversation starters meant to spark connections.

The Mets have joined forces with Hot & Social. The company creates gatherings where attendees show up by themselves and meet others through activities.

According to Timeout.com, Hot & Social came to life after Schreiber couldn’t locate gatherings that welcomed solo arrivals. She threw her own party with one rule: guests had to come alone and would walk away with new friends. Since then, the company has expanded. Pickleball parties? Yes. Movie screenings? Those too. Dinners and dating mixers round out what they offer. More than 100,000 people have met through these gatherings, according to Hot & Social.

Four packages exist for the Aug. 27 game. Each one includes a ticket and wristband.

The Most Eligible package bundles a co-branded hat, a party at Willets Point Brewery before first pitch, Fiesta Deck seats, and unlimited food plus drinks. Serious Contender gives you the hat and brewery party, along with Citi Pavilion seats and $12 in credit.

Ready to Mingle comes with the hat and a gathering at Bullpen Plaza before the game. The Bare Minimum gets you into the stadium with a wristband. That’s it.

This marks the first time the Mets have built a game night around helping singles meet face-to-face instead of swiping on apps. Wristbands will tell other attendees who’s looking to connect and who isn’t.
