A rap and hip-hop legend celebrated a major career milestone with an unlikely guest: Cincinnati Reds fans.
William Roberts, known professionally as Rick Ross, thanked the Redlegs for hosting him on the 20-year anniversary of his debut record at an Aug. 14 post-game concert.
The 50-year-old documented his time backstage (and onstage) at the Great American Ball Park in a series of Instagram story posts.

Custom jerseys and custom jets
Ross arrived in Cincinnati luxuriously − on a jet with his name written on it.
When he got to his stadium suite, a custom jersey with his nickname “The BOAT” (The Biggest Of All Time) was waiting for him. DJ Nasty, who provided the beats during Ross’ show, also received a jersey with his name on it.
Ross and DJ Nasty quipped about Mr. Redlegs’ appearance when the character dropped by the suite.
“That boy is sharper than a razorblade,” DJ Nasty said.
Ross joked the mustachioed figure had to let his beard grow out, too.

Ross filmed himself dancing as DJ Nasty played the 2000’s era hip hop hits They Know by Shawty Lo and Swag Surfin’ by Fast Life Yungstaz.
“Not many people get to celebrate the 20th anniversary of their debut album at one of the greatest franchises in history,” Ross said when he took the microphone, prompting cheers from the audience. “Still a dream for a boss.”
He filmed the front row while rapping over his track 2012 track Stay Schemin.

When the concert ended, Ross walked through the outfield at the Great American Ball Park and reflected on his career.

“It’s major league,” Ross said.
