Naamans Little League will play for a spot in the Little League World Series on Friday after defeating Washington, D.C. 7-2 in a regional semifinal Thursday afternoon.

The Delaware champions took a 1-0 lead in the third inning, as they took advantage of three walks, with Will Santora scoring during a rundown elsewhere on the base-paths.

The floodgates opened in the 5th inning, with a 5-run inning.

Taj Amobi walked, and then scored on Charles Puit’s double to centerfield. 

Brady Winkelspecht then drove Puit in with an RBI single, and he scored on Brian Miller’s RBI hit.

Jason Pontari scored on a wild pitch, while John Jenney drew a bases-loaded walk to end the scoring.

Puit then hit an RBI single in the next inning to put Delaware up 7-0.

Washington would get two runs, and actually had the tying run on deck, but relieverÂ
