They currently lead the league in average on-base percentage, hits, runs scored, and stolen bases.
And a big part of the Cubs’ success is the arrival of Kyle Tucker.
Tucker has been every part of the superstar that the Cubs thought they were getting when they traded for him from the Houston Astros.
But it’s not just Tucker’s arrival that’s helped the Cubs’ offense, it’s the fact that he’s helped make other members of their lineup better.
And they’ve gotten incremental improvements from those players individually.
Guys like Ian Hat, Sana Suzuki, Michael Busch, and Pete Crow Armstrong, who’s been one of the more dynamic players in all of baseball so far.

The Cubs haven’t won a postseason series since 2018, and while they’ll still need to make additions, whether that’s at third base, in the bullpen with some relievers and another starter, this offense looks like it can carry a team to the postseason, and if they continue to swing the bats the way they have in April, There’s gonna be some playoff games at Wrigley Field come soon.
