MINNEAPOLIS (KLTV) — Former Brook Hill guard A.J. Minter earned another hold in the Twins’ 7-5 loss to the Phillies on Sunday.
Minter entered the game in the top of the seventh with the Twins winning 5-4. Minter faced Bryan De La Cruz first, who grounded out to the first baseman. Edmundo Sosa then struck out swinging for the second out of the inning. Kyle Schwarber also grounded out to the first baseman for the final out. Minter was taken out at the top of the eighth inning.
Minter finished the game having thrown 14 pitches, nine of which were strikes, and earned a hold.
In 2026, Minter (1-2) has pitched 30 innings with 25 strikeouts and a 2.10 ERA.
The Twins (60-65) lost all three games in the series against the Phillies (67-58).
Minnesota starts a new series against the Braves (74-50) on Monday.
