SAN DIEGO (KGTV) – A new ownership group is now officially in place for the San Diego Padres, it was announced Monday.
In a unanimous vote, the ownership group led by Jose Feliciano and his wife Kwanza Jones was approved by Major League Baseball owners.
The franchise was reportedly sold by the Seidler family to the Feliciano/Jones group for an MLB-record $3.9 billion.
According to multiple reports, Feliciano and Jones will own 40% of the franchise.

Day-to-day operations will continue to be led by CEO Erik Greupner and President of Baseball Operations/General Manager A.J. Preller.
