Two Tennessee Baseball Players Earn All-Cape Cod League Honors

Tennessee baseball players are back on campus with the fall semester underway and fall practice weeks away from officially getting underway. But it wasn’t a work free summer for Tennessee players. Many spread across the country playing in various summer leagues.

Multiple Vols played in the Cape Cod League, the nation’s best collegiate baseball summer league, with two earning All-Cape Cod League honors.

The Orleans Firebirds’ Tyler Myatt earned First Team All-CCBL honors as an outfielder while Warehame Gatemen’s Levi Clark earned Second Team All-CCBL honors as a designated hitter, the league announced last week.

Myatt was one of the best hitters in the Cape Cod League this summer, slashing .294/.390/.529 with nine home runs, five doubles and 20 RBIs in 35 games played.

Clark slashed .233/.350/.342 with one home run, one triple, eight doubles and 13 RBIs in 35 games played. While his batting average was low, Clark reached base on balls 17 times while striking out just 21 times.

A Tazewell, Tennessee native, Myatt is coming off his first season in Knoxville after transferring in from Walters State. Expectations were high for Myatt after he earned NJCAA Player of the Year honors in 2025, however, Myatt struggled with consistency and ended up hitting .247 with three home runs and 33 RBIs in 73 at-bats.

While he was unable to earn a consistent role in 2026, Myatt could earn an everyday starting spot next season with his summer success proving to be a good sign.

The catcher and first baseman had a turbulent sophomore season in Knoxville, struggling badly in non conference play before breaking out in SEC play and helping propel Tennessee’s offensive improvement. Over the course of the season, Clark hit .242 with 13 homers and 42 RBIs. However, Clark led the Vols in home runs and RBIs in SEC play.

Clark enters the 2027 season as one of Tennessee’s top players and will start everyday whether that’s catcher, first base, left field or designated hitter.
