(Sacramento, CA) — The Minnesota Twins lost to the Athletics in Sacramento last night, 4-2. A’s starting and winning pitcher Gage Jump worked six-and-a-third innings, allowing two runs on three hits and striking out nine Twins. He improved to 6-8 on the season. Minnesota starting and losing pitcher Taj Bradley was good, too. He pitched six-and-two-thirds innings and struck out 11 batters. He allowed four runs on seven hits. Carlos Cortez homered for the Athletics. The 64-69 Twins are now three games out of the final A-L Wild Card spot. Byron Buxton left last night’s game as a precaution and likely will not play in tonight’s game, which is slated for 8:05 P-M.
