Satoshi Miyamori (Samsung Lions), who is slowly adjusting to the KBO League, promised his future performance.
Satoshi is a right-handed pitcher with a physique of 193 centimeters and 93 kilograms. In 2022, he joined the Rakuten Golden Eagles of the Japanese Professional Baseball (NPB) as a nurturing player. He made 17 saves in the second division that year, and after his debut in the first division, he recorded 22 consecutive scoreless games. He played for Rakuten from 2022 to 2025 and posted a 2-3 record, 10 holds, one save, and a 5.10 ERA per inning (WHIP) of 1.55 in 69 games in the first team.

This year, he wore the OySix Niigata Albirex uniform, an NPB second-tier team until recently. He went 5-5 with a 4.36 WHIP of 1.44 in 17 games.
Samsung embraced Satoshi on the condition of a total of 73,000 dollars, including the transfer fee, when Miyaji Yura, the previous Asian quarter, was sluggish with a 5.87 ERA with one loss and three holds.
Satoshi, however, failed to meet Samsung’s expectations. In the match against the Gwangju KIA Tigers on the 12th (one inning, one hit, one homer, one strikeout, two runs) and the match against the Hanwha Eagles in Daegu on the 14th (three hits, two homers, one strikeout, four runs) in the KBO League debut. He threw well against the Daegu SSG Landers on the 19th (one hit and no run in one inning), but shook again against SSG on the 20th (two hits and one run in 0.2 innings).
Fortunately, the recent trend is not bad. He pitched well against the Kiwoom Heroes in Gocheok on the 26th (one hit and no run in one inning). Since then, he also showed stable pitching with one strikeout and no run in one inning against Kiwoom on the 27th. It was the first time Satoshi completed a three-out inning since entering the KBO League.
After the match against Kiwoom on the 27th, Satoshi said on Samsung’s official video channel ‘Lions TV’, “I feel the best.” “I’m gradually adapting to the difference in official ball,” he said. “There are still some balls that fall out of my hands, but I still have a feeling of being able to throw as hard as I can. I was able to pitch a little calmly,” he said.

He then nodded, “I’m not completely satisfied because the breaking ball keeps falling out today, but I think the arm swing itself when throwing the fast ball was very good.”
There’s no big problem with team adaptation. He said, “The atmosphere is really good. The bench atmosphere before the game is very good, and everyone is just really good people. I think it’s a great team,” he said with a bright smile.
Samsung is aiming for the championship this year. Satoshi’s shoulders are also heavy. We need to help Samsung’s bullpen.
