Shohei Ohtani missed his fourth straight game Sunday night for the Los Angeles Dodgers, sitting out the series finale against Washingtonwith left knee and right biceps discomfort.

Speaking before the game, Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said Ohtani’s workout Saturday went well and he’s trending toward returning to the L.A. lineup Monday against the Cincinnati Reds.

“If nothing else changes, or it continues to trend, I see him in there tomorrow,” Roberts told reporters.

Also, the Dodgers placed Dalton Rushing on the injured list with right elbow discomfort, retroactive to Sept. 5. Roberts said Rushing could return this season but won’t catch again.

The team recalled Eliezer Alfonzo in the corresponding roster move.
