BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The weekend series matchups and dates for the 2027 Southeastern Conference baseball slate were announced by the league office on Tuesday.
All 16 schools will play 10 weekend series, two against their permanent rivals and eight against rotating opponents.
Coming off its seventh consecutive NCAA tournament appearance, Tennessee will open SEC play with a bang, squaring off against defending national champion Oklahoma at Lindsey Nelson Stadium from March 19-21.
The Vols will also host 2026 postseason participants in Arkansas (April 2-4), reigning SEC champion Georgia (April 23-25) and Mississippi State (May 7-9) before closing out the regular season at home against in-state rival Vanderbilt (May 20-22).
All five of UT’s SEC road series will come against teams that hosted regionals last year. The Big Orange travel to Bryan-College Station to face Texas A&M (March 26-28) in their first road series before making their first-ever trip to Austin for a marquee matchup against Texas (April 9-11), who is coming off a Men’s College World Series appearance.
The next weekend, UT heads to Auburn (April 16-18) to tangle with the Tigers on the plains before a trip to Gainesville two weeks after that to take on Florida (April 30-May 2).
Tennessee’s final road series will take place in Tuscaloosa (May 14-16) as a showdown against permanent rival Alabama awaits.
The 2027 SEC Tournament will once again be held in Hoover, Alabama, at the Hoover Met from May 25-30.
Nine of UT’s 10 SEC opponents for the 2027 season played in the NCAA tournament last year with six of them advancing to super regionals and four making it all the way to Omaha.
