Top prospect Emmanuel Rodriguez homered in his first major-league at-bat as the Minnesota Twins edged the Cleveland Guardians 4–3.
Rodriguez opened Minnesota’s four-run third inning with a solo home run. Kody Clemens and Royce Lewis added RBI singles before Victor Caratini was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded.
Rodriguez became the seventh Twins player to homer in his first career plate appearance. A.J. Minter worked a perfect ninth inning for the save.
