An upset-laden 2025 NCAA Tournament heads closer to the College World Series in Omaha, Neb.

UTSA pulled off the second-biggest upset of the regional round Sunday, defeating No. 2 seed Texas baseball twice to advance to the NCAA Super Regionals. The Roadrunners travel to Los Angeles this weekend, where a three-game series against UCLA awaits. If they win two, they’ll earn a spot in the College World Series.

The biggest shock of last weekend came when Wright State stunned No. 1 seed Vanderbilt 5-4 to eliminate them in the Nashville Regional. A feat like that hadn’t happened since Maryland knocked out No. 1 UCLA in the 2015 Los Angeles Regional.

Arkansas and Auburn survived the toppling of the highly ranked Southeastern Conference teams. The No. 3-seed Razorbacks will host the No. 14-seed Volunteers in the super regionals, while No. 4 seed Auburn takes on No. 13 seed Coastal Carolina.

The 2025 College World Series begins Friday, June 13, in Omaha, Neb., at Charles Schwab Field Omaha. The best-of-three championship series begins June 21 and will be broadcast on ESPN and its related networks.
