(Minneapolis, MN) — The Minnesota Twins lost to the Cleveland Guardians 9-2 yesterday at Target Field, dropping two of three in the series. Twins starting pitcher Joe Ryan worked four innings and allowed four runs, dropping to 6-10 on the year. The Minnesota bullpen allowed five additional runs in the final five innings. Trevor Larnach belted his 13th homer of the year in the seventh inning. Guardians second baseman Travis Bazzana drove home three runs in the win, hitting his 12th homer of the season. The 70-80 Twins are now five-and-a-half games out of the A-L Wild Card position with 13 games remaining. Minnesota will open a three-game series with the New York Yankees tonight at 6:40 P-M.
