(Minneapolis, MN) — The New York Yankees scored eight runs for a second consecutive game off of Minnesota Twins pitching and won game two of their three-game series at Target Field last night, 8-1. New York outfielder Spencer Jones hit his tenth homer of the season and drove home three runs. Cody Bellinger also went deep for the Pinstripes. Rookie Emmanuel Rodriguez drove home the lone Twins run. Minnesota starter Bailey Ober went five-and-a-third innings, allowing three runs on nine hits. Yankees lefty Max Fried (freed) tossed seven innings on one-run, six-hit ball, striking out six and walking none. The Twins are now 70-81, while the Yanks are 88-63. Minnesota tries to avoid the three-game sweep with a matinee game today at 12:40 P-M.
