CHICAGO (KLTV) – Former Bullard Panther Hagen Smith struck out three batters in the Chicago White Sox 11-8 loss to the Detroit Tigers on Friday.
The left-hander is 3-2 with a 1.09 ERA and 37 strikeouts in 24 2/3 innings this season.
Smith entered the game in the fifth inning. He issued a walk to Gleyber Torres to begin the inning before striking out Dillon Dingler, Riley Greene and Spencer Torkelson.
Smith threw 20 pitches, 10 for strikes.
Chicago (78-76) and Detroit (73-81) continue their series on Saturday.
