(San Francisco, CA) — The Minnesota Twins were topped by the Giants 5-2 to open their series last night in San Francisco. Zebby Matthew suffered the loss after allowing five runs on eight hits. Infielder Brooks Lee and outfielder Emmanuel Rodriguez each hit solo homers for the lone run production for Minnesota, which has dropped two of its last three and will continue the three-game interleague set tonight at Oracle Field at 8:45 P-M. The 73-84 Twins will send Taj Bradley to the hill tonight. The 65-92 Giants snapped a three-game skid with last night’s victory. The Twins called up slugger Aaron Sabato before last night’s game, and he went 0-for-3 in his Major League debut. He hit 25 homers for Triple-A St. Paul.
