CINCINNATI (WKRC) – The Reds finished their 2026 home schedule with nearly 180,000 fewer fans at Great American Ball Park than they drew last season.
Cincinnati drew 1,991,703 fans for its 81 home games, an average of 24,589 per game. That is down 179,260 fans overall and 2,213 per game from 2025, when the Reds drew 2,170,963 fans and averaged 26,802.
The Reds ranked 21st among MLB’s 30 teams in average home attendance this season, after ranking 20th in 2025.

Cincinnati also fell short of 2 million fans for the first time since 2022, when the club drew 1,395,770. The Reds had surpassed 2.17 million fans in 2025, their highest total in a decade.
The late-season decline came after a promising start at the gate. Through the first 50 home games, the Reds were averaging 25,421 fans per game, up 706 from the same point a year earlier.
With less than a week remaining in the regular season, the Reds’ per-game drop ranked fourth-largest in Major League Baseball from 2025. The Mets, Astros and Royals had larger declines, while average MLB attendance was up 233 fans per game.
The Dodgers lead MLB in average attendance at 49,832 fans per game. The Athletics rank last at 9,915 per game while playing in a temporary minor league ballpark.
