VICTORIA, Texas — Victoria East senior pitcher Andrew Alvarado has committed to continue his baseball career at Temple College, giving the Titans standout an opportunity to play at the collegiate level following his final high school season.
Alvarado enters his senior year with an impressive résumé after earning some of the state’s top individual honors during the 2025 season. The right-hander was named the South Texas High School Pitcher of the Year and received Class 5A All-State recognition. He also earned a spot on the Texas Coaches Association Super Elite Team, highlighting his success on the mound against top competition.
His commitment marks another milestone in a decorated prep career and provides Temple College with a proven pitcher as the Leopards continue to build their program. Temple College has consistently been recognized as one of the stronger junior college baseball programs in Texas and competes at a high level in the NJCAA ranks.
For Alvarado, the signing represents the culmination of years of work and development within the Victoria East baseball program. He will remain focused on helping the Titans during his senior campaign before making the transition to the collegiate game.
Alvarado is expected to join the Temple College baseball program for the 2027-28 academic year, becoming the latest Crossroads athlete to earn an opportunity to continue competing at the next level.
