COLLEGE PARK, MD — The University of Maryland baseball team has announced a new partnership with Marucci, one of the leading brands in baseball equipment.

The partnership brings together two organizations committed to player development, innovation and the continued growth of the game of baseball.

“Partnering with Marucci was about more than equipment, it was about building a relationship with a company that believes in Maryland Baseball and shares our commitment to growing both our program and the game,” said Maryland head coach Matt Swope. “We’re excited to work alongside a brand that wants to invest in our players, our vision, and where Maryland Baseball is headed.”

Maryland baseball enters the partnership with a proud tradition that includes more than 2,000 program victories, nine NCAA Tournament appearances and six conference championships. The Terrapins have also made two Super Regional appearances and have produced 131 MLB Draft picks, including 42 selected within the first 10 rounds of the draft.

Five former Terrapins are currently active in Major League Baseball, continuing Maryland’s tradition of developing players at the highest level of the sport.

Through the partnership, Maryland baseball and Marucci will work together to support the development of the Terrapins and strengthen the program’s connection to one of baseball’s premier equipment brands.
