WWE wrestler CM Punk was in attendance for the Chicago Cubs’ meeting with the Miami Marlins on Wednesday, September 23.
The Cubs were defeated 2-3 by the Miami outfit, which probably did not make for great viewing for Punk.
The WWE superstar, who was born and still lives in Chicago, is a life-long Cubs fan and was given a chance to throw out the first pitch at Wrigley Field this week.

CM Punk previously threw out the first pitch at a Cubs game last September.
At that game, he wore a custom jersey with the word ‘Punk’ on the back.
On this occasion, however, the wrestler did not have a custom top, instead opting to represent one of the team’s current stars.
The MLB have shared a clip of Punk throwing out the first pitch on Wednesday and in it, he shows off his Pete Crow-Armstrong jersey, making sure to point back at the player’s name before stepping up to throw.
Now, after losing on Wednesday, the Cubs are once again taking on the Marlins on Thursday before travelling to take on the Boston Red Sox on Friday.
As for Punk, he recently lost the Undisputed WWE Championship to Sami Zayn.
