LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – Nebraska baseball has set its 2027 schedule, a slate highlighted by eight games against five 2026 NCAA Tournament qualifiers: Kansas, Oregon, Oregon State, South Dakota State and UC Santa Barbara.
The Huskers will open the campaign Feb. 19-21 in Surprise, Arizona, facing UC Santa Barbara, Oregon State and Vanderbilt in the College Baseball Series. Nebraska stays in the area to play a road matchup at Grand Canyon on Monday, Feb. 22 in Phoenix.
For the second weekend of the season, the Big Red will head to San Antonio for the Battle at the Ballpark at the San Antonio Missions’ Nelson W. Wolff Municipal Stadium. The Huskers will face Notre Dame, Air Force and Army from Feb. 26-28.
Nonconference action and Big Ten opener
Nebraska finishes nonconference road tournament play with a four-game series at Pepperdine from March 4-7 before returning to Lincoln for a six-game homestand.
The homestand begins with a midweek matchup against Kansas State on March 9, followed by the Big Ten opener against Illinois on March 12-14. Wichita State then visits Lincoln for a two-game midweek series March 16-17.
Nebraska returns to the road to face Indiana (March 19-21) and Kansas State (March 23) before wrapping up the month at home with four games against Oregon (March 26-28) and Creighton (March 30).
April and May schedule
The Huskers open April on the road at Rutgers from April 2-4 before a five-game homestand against Kansas (April 6), Purdue (April 9-11) and Creighton (April 13).
Nebraska plays seven of its next eight games on the road, traveling to Iowa (April 16-18), hosting South Dakota State (April 21), and visiting Northwestern (April 23-25) and Kansas (April 27).
The Big Red steps out of conference play to host Houston Christian from April 30 through May 2, followed by a home series against Michigan (May 7-9) and a road trip to Omaha to face Creighton on May 11.
Nebraska concludes the regular season with a trip to Washington (May 14-16) and a home series against Ohio State (May 20-22). Charles Schwab Field in Omaha will host the Big Ten Tournament for the 10th time, having previously hosted in 2014, 2016, 2018, 2019 and 2022-26.
