GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) – The Greater Green Bay Habitat for Humanity received an $8,000 grant from the Milwaukee Brewers Foundation.
Over the last three years, the local chapter expanded from building four homes a year to 15.
Leaders say the money will buy a larger tool trailer, keeping all their gear on site instead of shuffling smaller trailers back and forth.
“One of the really nice things that will come from this is that we can work more efficiently and not spend time moving trailers around and transferring. So it’s that much more time that we can be spending on the build site so we can build faster,” said Jessica Diedrich, CEO of Greater Green Bay Habitat for Humanity.
Habitat leaders expect to save $8,000 on equipment, which means those funds can go directly toward building materials for local families.
