Vanderbilt baseball had seven players selected in the MLB draft for the second consecutive year.

The five pitchers and two position players who were drafted all came to terms by the Aug. 1 deadline.

One Vanderbilt signee, right-handed pitcher Owen Hall, was also drafted.

Players who were not selected have the option to sign as undrafted free agents for a maximum of $150,000. That could be a route pursued by players who are out of eligibility, like Jack Bulger, Calvin Hewett and Troy LaNeve. On the other hand, a few players with eligibility remaining have already indicated their desire to return. Those players include Jonathan Vastine, Matthew Polk and Sawyer Hawks.
