The 2024 College World Series Champion Tennessee Volunteers have released their schedule for the 2027 campaign. The Big Orange will play 33 games against 2026 NCAA Tournament teams. Four of those teams (Oklahoma, Texas, Georgia and Alabama) made it to Omaha.
The 56-game regular season slate includes 38 home games, 15 road games and three neutral site games.
UT will open the year at home with a weekend series against Northern Illinois from Feb. 19-21 before welcoming in High Point for a midweek contest on Feb. 23.
After the four-game homestand, the Vols will travel to Jacksonville, Florida for the 2027 Live Like Lou Jax College Baseball Classic at VyStar BAllpark from Feb. 26-28. Tennessee will face Cincinnati on Feb. 26, Illinois on Feb. 27 and reigning ACC Champion Georgia Tech on Feb. 28.
Tennessee will then return to Lindsey Nelson Stadium for a 14-game homestand. The Big Orange will host ETSU on March 2 before taking on Missouri State from March 5-7. UT’s final non-conference weekend series will be a 2024 Super Regional rematch as Evansville comes to town for a three-game set from March 12-14.
The Vols will open SEC play at home against defending national champion Oklahoma from March 19-21. The ther home series include marquee matchups with Arkansas, Georgia, Mississippi State and Vanderbilt.
The Big Orange’s five conference road series are against Texas A&&M, Texas, Auburn, Florida and Alabama.
UT’s 14 midweek contests include four in-state battles. In addition to the early season game against ETSU, Tennessee Tech, Lipscomb and Belmont will pay a visit to Rocky Top.
The 2027 SEC Tournament is set May 20-25 at the Hoover Met in Hoover, Alabama.
