The Dodgers are four wins away from another trip to the World Series after eliminating the Braves in four games in the NLDS. Los Angeles clinched the series with a 4-1 victory Wednesday night, breaking a 1-1 tie in the seventh inning when Andy Pages lined a bases-loaded, two-run single up the middle. Max Muncy added a ninth-inning homer, his 19th postseason home run with the Dodgers, extending his franchise record. The Dodgers won the series 3-1 and advanced to a National League Championship Series rematch against Milwaukee.
Now comes the next step in a potential three-peat. The defending World Series champions will face the Brewers beginning Sunday in Milwaukee after sweeping them in last year’s NLCS. Los Angeles is attempting to become the first National League club to win three consecutive World Series titles, adding another chapter to one of baseball’s most dominant postseason runs.
