LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — Crews have reached a new milestone on the construction of a baseball stadium on the Las Vegas Strip.
The Athletics say the third and tallest roof arch, also known as a truss, has been installed.
The 700-foot-long truss is made of five steel sections that come together to form one of the five overlapping arches that will span the ballpark’s roof.
At its highest point, the arch rises 290 feet above the playing field, equal to 105 baseball bats stacked end-to-end.
When complete, it would be the tallest roof truss structure in Major League Baseball, according to the A’s.
Completion remains on track for the 2028 MLB season, the team says.
