Foenem never expected his Brewers tune to blow up on TikTok, then Instagram and Facebook. Now even the team says it gets stuck in their heads.
MILWAUKEE —
A Milwaukee artist known as Foenem has gained viral fame with his song “Milwaukee Brewers,” which has become an unofficial anthem for the team during the postseason.
The song features the lyrics “Milwaukee Brewers” repeated multiple times, along with “Let’s play some baseball and get some home runs.”
“It’s a great feeling, it’s exhilarating. I wasn’t expecting for it to go that viral. I’m just thinking TikTok is going to see it, do a couple thousand, but it went to Instagram, then Facebook. Okay, this is serious, okay,” Foenem explained to WISN 12 sports reporter Pat Timlin.
The song has even caught the attention of the Brewers themselves. “Yeah, we’ve seen it. It gets stuck in people’s heads for sure. We hear it probably 8 to 10 times a day,” pitcher DL Hall said.
Foenem has also written other songs inspired by Wisconsin favorites, including the Green Bay Packers and the Milwaukee County Zoo.
