MILWAUKEE (WKOW) — The Milwaukee Brewers are expanding their trading card print program due to overwhelming positive feedback. This initiative, in collaboration with local law enforcement, aims to connect officers with youth through a shared love of baseball.
“We have received such great feedback from law enforcement and fans alike, appreciating the impact the Brewers trading card print program has in the community,” said Rick Schlesinger, Brewers president of business operations.
The program will distribute 1,000 card packs to 30 agencies across Wisconsin. The comic book-style cards feature players such as Christian Yelich, Jackson Chourio, Sal Frelick, William Contreras, Brice Turang, and Joey Ortiz.
The cards will come in plastic wrap rather than the original wax wrap.
Agencies receiving the cards include those in Beloit, Janesville, Middleton, Platteville, and Sun Prairie, among others.
The Brewers plan to continue expanding this community-focused program next season.
