MILWAUKEE, Wis. — The World Series begins Friday night at American Family Field in Milwaukee, where the Tampa Bay Rays will face the Milwaukee Brewers in game one.

Weather is not expected to be a factor in the series because the Brewers have a rectractable roof, and the Rays play all of their games indoors.

It has not been announced whether the roof will be open for Friday night’s game, which starts just after 8 p.m.

The matchup features the top teams from their respective leagues and marks the third time in the last seven years that the top seeds from both leagues are meeting in the World Series.

The Rays clinched their third trip to the World Series in franchise history Monday night. Tampa Bay reached the Fall Classic after beating the New York Yankees in the division series and Cleveland Guardians in the American League Championship Series.

The Rays now face a Brewers team that had the best record in baseball this year.

One of the two teams will win its first World Series title when the series ends.
