Dash Denton drove a ball past the third basemen in the bottom of the ninth with two outs to score Noah Company.

The clutch provided the Burlington Bees (5-2) the walk-off victory, defeating the Normal CornBelters (3-4) 8-7 at Community Field June 2.

Going into the third inning, the Bees trailed 4-0. The team slowly crawled back into it, eventually taking the lead in seventh.

Ethan McDonald singled to get on base in the third.

Kooper Schulte cut the deficit in half with his second home run of the year. His 12 RBIs lead the league.

Burlington’s middle relievers kept the team in it, tossing five consecutive shutout innings. Jack Duncan threw two shutout innings with two strikeouts, taking over in the third.

Kaimana Burgo threw three shutout, allowing only three hits with two strikeouts.

Burlington’s offense continued in the fifth. Caleb Seibers hit a ground rule double with one out. He finished three for four.

Keanu Spenser made it 4-3 on an RBI single. The experienced Bee has nine RBI on the year.

Brurlington turned the game upside down in the seventh. Connor Kave singled to center. He finished two for four to extend his hit streak to sixth. Seibers and Schulte followed with hit by pitches.

Corey Boyette brought home two on a single to give Burlington its first lead. Boyette has an RBI in every game since joining the team over the weekend.

Abrahan Rios singled in his Bees debut to put the team up two. The catcher also threw out three Normal base runners.

Normal scored one in the top eighth. The team began the bottom of the inning on a Denton walk. He went to third on a wild pitch.

Seibers singled to score him and insure the lead.
