ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (WWSB) – Game 3 of the World Series between the Tampa Bay Rays and the Milwaukee Brewers is scheduled for 8 p.m. Monday at Tropicana Field.
Rays fans spent Monday preparing for watch parties around Tropicana Field. Some Brewers fans were seen walking around town in their team jerseys. Banners are hanging around Tropicana Field and nearby areas.
The Rays trail the series two games to none. The team needs to win at least two of the three games scheduled at Tropicana Field to force a Game 6 or Game 7 in Milwaukee.

The owner of Ferg’s, located near Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, was asked where this postseason run ranks in the history of Tampa sports.
“This World Series run is at the top because we have such a good team,” the owner said. “I really believe we’re going to win tonight. We’re going to win tomorrow. We’re going to take it back to Milwaukee and win in Game 7. I’m so proud of the city putting the Tromp back together the way they did. And the team got in there and was able to play from day one. So we’re very excited that they’ve been here all year. But now they’re in a freaking World Series. Let’s go Rays.”
Ten teams in MLB history have come back from a 2-0 deficit in the World Series. The most recent occurrence was the New York Yankees defeating the Atlanta Braves in 1996.
