ST. LOUIS, Missouri (WKBN) – The St. Louis Cardinals have officially announced the signing of former Cleveland Guardians pitcher Zach Plesac to a minor league contract.

He has been assigned to Triple-A Memphis in the St. Louis organization.

Plesac owns a career record of 27-28 in six seasons in Major League Baseball with both the Cleveland and the Los Angeles Angels.

The 30-year-old joins the Cardinals organization after posting a record of 4-1 with a 2.84 ERA with the Long Island Ducks in the Atlantic League this year.
